Customer Review: I have a high dollar set of Wusthoff Trident kitchen knives that I was always scared to run through a mechanical sharpener. After wasting many hours and dollars on trying to manually sharpen these using wetstones, Lansky sharpeners, etc. I was never able to get the edge like original. About 2... more info
Customer Review: I could have had my knives professionally sharpened several times over with the cost of this so called sharpener. Heck, I could have bought new knives. I thought it was me but my husband couldn't get this thing to sharpen any knife even a little bit. I could have used 200 grit sandpaper and it would... more info
Customer Review: Should of listen to some of the other reviews, but not me I am to smart. What a pain in the back side. To start you have to make 20 passes of each side of the knife in slot one, then you have to make another 10 passes of each side of the knife in slot two. And you much make them very slow. Customer Review: I needed a sharpener that did all my knives including the serrated edges. This is it! No effort required. Just glide the knife edges through. Would recommend this product. Even though I balked at paying the asking price, it was still cheaper than replacing my good cutlery set.

It is definitely awkward to use and there is a learning curve even after reading the instructions carefully. I found a way to use it which is not documented in the instructions: before lowering the blade... more info
Customer Review: I have only used this knife sharpener twice,I couldn't believe the edge that it put on my knives! And they hold an edge much longer than sharpening them on my honing rod.
Customer Review: Works perfect..you must follow instructions...if you do you will have sharp knives for ever..dont know why I waited so long to purchase...
Customer Review: I've tried for many years, but have never been able to sharpen a knife with a stone. Decided I'd give a mechanical sharpener a shot as my kitchen and sporting knives were dull as a hammer. Ordered up the Chef's Choice 120 as I'd read some good things about it. First unit recieved had a defect, but... more info
Customer Review: The problem with this one is that you have to go through the rough and the fine stone at the same time, there is no separation, but the end result is good for me (for now, until they come with a better one)
So for me it is O.K. but definitely not for pros.
