Customer Review: This is a masterful performance by the great Vladimir Ashkenazy of Chopin's favourite piano works. If you love Chopin's music and Ashkenazy's magic touch, this 2-disc CD is a must. Apart from all the all-time favourites such as grande valse brillante, op 18, nocturne in E flat major, op 9 no 2,... more info
Customer Review: I'm a seeker of the ideal Chopin. This performance is very good but if you have the Chopin recordings of Pollini,Perahia,Zimerman and Rubinstein then you probably don't need this one. But if you do decide to buy it you wont be disappointed.

I never heard these pieces until I bought this CD. They are basically nice salon pieces: charming, melodic,... more info

After I finish practicing a piece I usually find a recording to listen to different interpretations. Most of them are by Perlman and Heifetz. Unfortunately this album has some obscure songs and the songs... more info
